This is a fine collection of LPs put together by the owner of a 1980's record store, who started collecting records in 1964. It includes many rare albums, audiophile pressings, European and Japanese imports, MFSL, mono pressings, sealed copies, and many limited editions and original pressings. While there are records by most of the major 1960s and 1970s artists, the collector specialized in obscure records by major bands as well as many obscure artists. The collection includes lots of rarities by The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Doors, Grateful Dead, Who, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Blind Faith, Frank Zappa, Jefferson Airplane, Neil Young, and CSNY. Also, there are selections by Love, Velvet Underground, Nico, Patti Smith, Nice, Deep Purple, DC5, Kinks, Santana, Bob Marley, Traffic, CCR, Moody Blues, Roxy Music, Brian Eno, King Crimson, Talking Heads, New Order, Ultravox, Them & Van Morrison, Family, Donovan, David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Pentangle, Procol Harum, Savoy Brown, Fleetwood Mac, Faces, Rod Stewart, Zombies, Soft Machine, Yardbirds.

In addition this collection includes lesser know acts like Birth Control, Brainbox, Edgar Broughton Band, Caravan, Bedlam, Creation, Epsilon, Groundhogs, Patto, Status Quo, Steamhammer plus other Krautrock, and many, many more. The collector is an audiophile from. And this collection also includes rarities from MC5, early Bob Seger, The Stooges, Mitch Ryder, and many other esoteric bands. This collection has over 4000 classic and obscure Rock selections, and a good selection of classic Blues.

With only a few exceptions, the LPs are in excellent to near mint condition. There are uncounted white label DJ promos, imports, live shows, originals, and true rarities. What makes this collection so special is its extra-fine condition and the extraordinary number of obscurities and rarities.
