You should never pass up the opportunity to upgrade your collection. They're each very limited in their pressings and disappear with extraordinary quickness from the vinyl market. This causes prices to skyrocket because once they are gone, they are gone forever! Don't second-guess yourself with this chance to upgrade your collection because before you know it, the opportunity will have passed forever. The nicest thing you can do for your stylus and your ears. The ultimate record -- the way music was meant to be heard.

COLD ROSES ORIGINAL 2005 LOST HIGHWAY RELEASE WITH ORIGINAL 180 GRAM 2 LP SET WITH LOST HIGHWAY MARKETING STICKER. A full-fledged, unapologetic return to the country-rock that made his reputation when he led Whiskeytown.

Not that the album is a retreat, or a crass attempt to give the people what they want, but it's an assured, comfortable collection of 18 songs that play to Adams' strengths because they capture him not trying quite so hard. He settles into a warm, burnished, countryish groove not far removed from vintage. Era Neil Young at the beginning and keeps it going over the course of a double-disc set that isn't all that long. When Will You Come Back Home. Now That You're Gone.

How Do You Keep Love Alive. Ryan Adams & The Cardinals Cardinology 2009 ORIGINAL LOST HIGHWAY LP. Stereophile Recording of the Month, February 2009! Four stars for Performance and Four stars for Sonics! Cardinology is the latest album from alt-country rocker Ryan Adams and his band The Cardinals.

Written after a period of drug rehabilitation, it is quintessentially the record he spent years promising but did not quite deliver. Now that it's here, it will easily go down as one of the best that Adams has ever made in his decade-spanning career. There can be no doubt, Cardinology is a classic rock record, start to finish.

Seminal influences U2 and the Grateful Dead are honored with little reserve. Great playing and singing abound, from the Tex-Mex gospel swagger of "Born Into a Light" to the plaintive melodies of the piano ballad "Stop". So compelling is the work of Adams's backing band throughout, it is almost no wonder that the album should bear their name.

But Cardinology isn't merely a showcase for a talented band. It's a singer/songwriter album that's about songs, intimate and inviting.

More than ever, Ryan Adams has crafted a record of solid, singular vision. Tight, clean lines are the norm here, as Adams proves he has found the voice he was meant to have. Gone is the rage of his early work, replaced by carefully measured melodic sensibility. Cardinology is the work of a man who has been through a lot and knows he's far from being done. Adams' idea now seems to be richness rather than surprise: the gospel according to Ryan, but at lower levels of volume and urgency...

His obvious influences, such as Parsons and U2, have never been used as well. Robert Baird, Stereophile Magazine, February 2009, pg. While many of the songwriting turns are familiar to longtime Adams fans - "Go Easy" could easily have appeared on any record since Gold - he's still capable of writing a transcendent tune like this album's strongest, "Crossed Out Name, " whose strummed acoustic guitars power a U2-flavored rumination. "Let Us Down Easy, " which adds a Wurlitzer to the mix, is another controlled but satisfying mix of electric guitars. And "Magick, " Adams' fun tribute to chord-bashing riff rock like "Highway To Hell" or "All Right Now" is a ball.

Ryan Adams Jacksonville Nights 180 GRAM Sealed 2 LP Set WITH 4 TRACKS NOT INCLUDED ON THE CD VERSION. Ryan Adams breaks my heart. His songs, especially his singing, touch me somewhere deep inside.

I don't really know why. It's just like the lyrics in "A Kiss Before I Go, " where he sings, I can't explain what I don't know. Well, I can't explain what I don't know either.

Yeah, I've had a broken heart, but not every time I paired up with someone. I'm not from the south either, so I don't really know that kind of life. Still, I feel like I know this world Ryan lives in. His lyrics make it painfully clear what it's like. This is the second cd he has put out with his band The Cardinals. Together they have crossed over to the other side.

This is not alt-country, folks. This is pure country, the kind that Hank Williams and Johnny Cash made in the'50's. Brushed drums, pedal steel, upright bass, cello, piano, and violins weave in and out of the electric and acoustic guitars. The vocals are the primary focus on all the songs, especially on "Peaceful Valley, " which he sings in a falsetto, straining to hit the high notes. There are a few recording flaws-there ALWAYS are a few in Mr.

Maybe that's why I like his cd's so much-he'd rather go with 95% of what he wanted the sound to be, than pro-tool the music until it strips all the life out of it. At any rate, I can't tell you my favorite song on this cd, because I pick a new one each time I listen to it.

That, my friends, is the hallmark of a really great record. That's a shame, because this is the best country record in the last 5 years, maybe even the last ten years. A Kiss Before I Go. Don't Fail Me Now. Adams' straight-up, straight-ahead country album, a lean collection of songs designed for late-night drinking.

Ryan Adams Love Is Hell MFSL INDIVIDUALLY Numbered Limited Edition 3 LP Box Set. Numbered, Limited Edition 3LP Box Set! Includes Seven Extra Tracks from Japanese-Only Bonus Disc! Introspective Mood Piece Originally Released as Two EPs in Late 2003 Personal Document on Romantic Loss, Frustration, and Loneliness Hits Bittersweet, Spiritual Notes Adams' Voice Never So Poignant: Supported By Strings, Acoustic Guitars, Spare Pianos Revealing Sonics: Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's World-Renowned Mastering System and Pressed at RTI.

Originally released on two EPs, Love Is Hell is a staggeringly personal report on romantic desolation, personal frustration, and incurable loneliness whose themes play out via heartbreakingly intimate vocals, stark acoustic guitars, unembellished electric guitars, chamber-pop strings, and spare pianos. The excising of pain has rarely sounded more bittersweetor spiritual. Due to Ryan Adams barren and tormented state, his record label initially refused to release the album out of concern it was too dark.

Renowned for his introspective takes on splintered relationships, Adams has never sounded more severe, damaged, or frayed. Listening is akin to peering into the tiny soul of a human being reconciling what love is and what it requires, and whether or not it can be hadall the while conversing with the people that drift in and out of his life.

Recognized by critics, peers, and fans for sketching impeccably detailed songs and lifelike protagonists, the singer/multi-instrumentalist doubles as a film auteur throughout Love Is Hell. Such is the value he places on atmosphere, scenery, and insightful specifics. Rain, snow, and cold color the songs environment, the gloom, austerity, and dampness blending with the musics slate-grey vibes. Decaying, single-room-occupancy hotel rooms, unforgiving city streets, and long nights afflict characters that teeter on falling apart and seek solace by holding on to fading optimismno more so than on the staggering cover of Oasis Wonderwall. Removing boundaries between himself and the listener, Adams pours out naked fears and thoughts.

Expertly placed, minimalist instrumentation accentuates his dramatic swells, emotional extremes, and shifts in scenery. Arrangements are nothing less than bracing. When employed, electric guitars resonate with tones that suggest showers and sleet, and on the title trackthe records most aggressive songinform an anthemic irony. Tempos slowly drift, Adams poignant voice remains unhurried, and looming metaphors threaten to swallow the hope on which the singer rests his head during his uncertain times.

Throughout, via his phrasing and timbre, Adams makes you feel and inspires reaction. Love Is Hell is the antithesis of background music, its somber qualities and reflective intricacies akin to burrowing into the pages of classic literature. Mastered on Mobile Fidelitys world-renowned mastering system and pressed at RTI, this 3LP set presents the modern masterpiece with full-frequency dynamics and riveting closeness. Close your eyes, and Adams and his few guests join you in your room, the effect equivalent to experiencing the singer-songwriter in a small café with warm, resonant acoustics. Even more, this unsurpassed edition contains seven extra songs previously only found on a Japanese-issued bonus disc.

180 GRAM Vinyl Release of Ryan's First Album since 2011's Ashes & Fire! Contains the Single Gimme Something Good!

2015 Grammy Award Nominee for: Best Rock Album Best Rock Performance - "Gimme Something Good" Best Rock Song - "Gimme Something Good". The album features a melodic rock-based aesthetic, in comparison to its primarily acoustic predecessor, Ashes & Fire (2011).

Recorded at his PaxAm studios and produced by Adams, the album represents another leap forward in his development as both songwriter and performer. Easily his most fully-developed musical statement, the album takes Adams inspired songcraft and brings it into a more hard driving rock direction that will please the hardcore Ryan devotee but will also turn on a broader audience. Early buzz from critics reinforces that this is the album of his career.

Perfect for cranking on the stereo while summertime cruising up Main Street. Includes limited time download card 320kbps mp3s ripped from vinyl.

Ryan Adams 1989 LIMITED EDITION 2 LP SET WITH ORIGINAL MARKETING STICKER FOR COLLECTORS. Ryan Adams Covers Taylor Swift's 1989 Album! Double LP Featuring "Bad Blood" and "Blank Space" On 1989, Ryan Adams offers a track-by-track reinterpretation of Taylor Swifts chart-topping 2014 album.

The result is as intimate as it is disarming. Adams presents Tay-Tays explosive pop hooks with an air of graceful melancholy, using acoustic guitars and reverb-soaked vocals to add heartbroken emotion to familiar hits like Shake It Off, Bad Blood, and Blank Space. Still, the most satisfying moments on Adams version of 1989 are the deep cuts from Swifts original release, including the dusky glow of Out of the Woods and chiming guitars of Wildest Dreams. ITunes There's no disguising how Ryan Adams flips Taylor Swift's 1989 upside-down, turning a moment of triumph into bedsit introspection, a concept that is undoubtedly theoretically interesting, but the record works because Adams doesn't play this as a stunt. Thomas Erlewine, AllMusic Features: Double LP Selections: LP 1 Side One: 1. Welcome To New York 2. Out Of The Woods 5. All You Had To Do Was Stay 6.

The album was recorded at Sunset Sound Factory in Hollywood and produced by Glyn Johns, renowned for his work with the likes of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Clash, The Who and The Rolling Stones - and whose son Ethan produced previous Adams albums Heartbreaker, Gold and 29. From the slow-burning opening stunner "Dirty Rain" through the infectious shuffle of the title track, to the irresistible harmonies of "Lucky Now" and the closing lament of "I Love You But I Don't Know What To Say", Ashes & Fire is arguably the most cohesive and beautiful album of Adams' distinguished career. Ryan Adams 29 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION LP. Special Repressing of only 2,500 Copies!

Get this album before it goes out of print... 29 is the third and final album from Ryan Adams in 2005. As opposed to the two previous releases of 2005 that Ryan recorded with his band the Cardinals, 29 is a solo album of all new and original material. His third release of 2005, Ryan Adams takes a break from his band, the Cardinals, to fashion an introspective song cycle with stripped-down arrangements focused on acoustic guitar or solo piano. After the propulsive, self-mythologizing title track opens the album in brazen fashion, forging an unlikely bond of comparison between John Lennon's Plastic Ono Band and the early'70s Grateful Dead, much of the rest of 29 finds Adams at his dreamiest.

The theme of it was that I wanted to write a record where I could write myself out of my twenties. So for each year of my life, in my twenties, I kind of assigned different parts of my character, I gave them names. 2005 saw Adams join with backing band The Cardinals to produce two albums, Cold Roses and Jacksonville City Nights. Cold Roses, a double album, included backing vocals from Rachael Yamagata on three songs; "Let It Ride, " "Cold Roses" and Friends. " His second album of the year, Jacksonville City Nights, featured a duet with Norah Jones on "Dear John.

As well as releasing two albums with The Cardinals, Adams released the solo album 29 late in the year. Adams befriended Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, throughout 2006 Lesh's live performances included compositions by Adams, including several from Cold Roses ("Cold Roses, " "Let It Ride, " and "Magnolia Mountain"), which was heavily influenced by American Beauty and Workingman's Dead, two acoustic-flavored Grateful Dead records from 1970. Three Albums and 46 songs in one year! Elizabeth, You Were Born To Play That Part. WHISKEYTOWN STRANGERS ALMANAC DOUBLE GEFFEN RECORDS 180 GRAM TWO LP SET WITH 5 PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED TRACKS. Was Whiskeytown's penultimate album.

The band is still steeped in the sounds of country and Gram Parsons-inspired country-rock here, but one can hear the music moving toward the pop of their final effort. Everything still centers around the voice and excellent songwriting of Ryan Adams (who was still only 22 at the time of this album's release). Excuse Me While I Break My Own Heart Tonight. Dancing With The Women At The Bar. I Don't Care What You Think About Me.

Ryan Adams Gold 2LP SET. Featured in Michael Fremer's Heavy Rotation in the May 2003 Issue of Stereophile!

Gold - the brilliant second solo album from Ryan Adams - only heightens the artists current role as one of the most revered songwriter-performers of his generation. But like all great art, Gold should also serve to surprise and confuse the expectations of those whove been quick to place labels on the extremely talented and prolific former leader of the now-legendary alternative-country band Whiskeytown. While Adams previous releases were mostly downbeat affairs, all it takes is one listen to the Pete Townshend-like power chords and 60s soul organ that dominate this albums opening track, New York, New York or the happy-go-lucky, take-no-prisoner harmonica on Firecracker with its Let me be your baby tonight chorus to alert the listener to the fact that Gold is going to be anything but a sad affair. In 2001, Adams released Gold, a sprawling 16-song album with a limited edition five-song bonus disc the five bonus songs are included on this LP release! The album earned Adams two Grammy nominations in 2002; "Best Male Rock Vocal" for "New York, New York" and "Best Rock Album".

Adams also received a nomination the same year for "Best Male Country Vocal" for his version of Hank Williams' "Lovesick Blues" from the tribute album Timeless. Gold's "When the Stars Go Blue" has been covered by The Corrs and Bono, Tyler Hilton and Tim McGraw. Demolition is 13 tracks pulled from over five sessions during 2001 and 2002. After sitting on stacks and stacks of tracks for over a year, the decision was made to assemble a "greatest hits" from the unreleased songs, a retrospective of a high-speed year in the life of a rising star...

Of days between gigs ("Tennessee Sucks"), of matters of the spirit ("You Will Always Be The Same, " "Hallelujah"), and mostly, of loves come and gone. The collection of songs on Demolition marks the follow-up to the Lost Highway debut Gold, one of the ten best albums of 2001, according to the Village Voice critics' poll, and numerous national magazines across the country.

The Bar Is a Beautiful Place. Following the success of Gold, in 2002 Adams released Demolition.
